A Complete Guide to Indian Visas for Albanian and Bolivian Citizens

The process for obtaining an Indian visa is standardized through the electronic visa (eVisa) system for many nationalities, including citizens of Albania and Bolivia. While the core requirements are similar, it is important for travelers from these countries to understand their specific eligibility and follow the correct online procedure. This guide details the application process for an Indian Visa for Albanian Citizens and an Indian Visa for Bolivian Citizens.

Indian Visa for Albanian Citizens

Citizens of Albania are eligible to apply for an Indian eVisa, allowing them to obtain their travel authorization entirely online without visiting an Indian embassy. Albanian passport holders can apply for the standard eVisa categories: the e-Tourist Visa, the e-Business Visa, and the e-Medical Visa.

The key requirements for Albanian applicants mirror the general eVisa criteria. First, you must hold an ordinary Albanian passport that is valid for at least six months from your planned date of arrival in India. The passport must also have at least two blank pages for immigration stamps. You will need to provide a recent digital passport-style photograph and a clear scanned copy of the biographical page of your passport. The application is completed on the official Indian government eVisa portal, where you must fill out the form with perfect accuracy, pay the government fee online, and receive the approved visa via email. Albanian citizens should note that on the 1-year and 5-year Tourist eVisas, the maximum continuous stay permitted per visit is 90 days.

Indian Visa for Bolivian Citizens

Similarly, citizens of Bolivia are eligible for the Indian eVisa program. Bolivian passport holders can utilize the same convenient online system to apply for an e-Tourist, e-Business, or e-Medical visa for travel to India.

The requirements for Bolivian citizens are identical in substance to those for Albanian applicants. A valid ordinary Bolivian passport with six months of remaining validity and two blank pages is mandatory. The digital photograph and passport page scan must meet the specified technical standards. During the online application, special attention must be paid to providing correct reference details—one contact in India (such as a hotel) and one in Bolivia. It is crucial that all information matches the passport exactly to avoid processing delays or rejection. Like Albanians, Bolivian citizens are subject to the 90-day maximum continuous stay per visit on the long-term Tourist eVisas.

Universal Application Steps and Important Considerations

The application journey for citizens of both Albania and Bolivia follows the same streamlined path:

  1. Access the Official Portal: Navigate to the official Indian government eVisa website or a trusted authorized partner site.
  2. Complete the Online Form: Select the correct visa type (Tourist, Business, or Medical) and fill in all details with precision.
  3. Upload Required Documents: Attach the digital photograph and the scanned copy of your passport’s biographical page.
  4. Pay the Visa Fee: Use a valid credit/debit card or PayPal to pay the government processing fee securely online.
  5. Receive and Present Your eVisa: The approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be sent to your email. You must print a copy to present, along with your passport, upon arrival at an Indian immigration checkpoint.

Several critical considerations apply universally. First, the Indian eVisa is non-extendable. If you need to stay longer than your visa allows, you must leave India and apply for a new eVisa from abroad. The only potential exception is for Medical eVisas in genuine emergencies. Second, entry is only permitted at designated airports and seaports; land border crossings are not allowed with an eVisa. Third, “Visa on Arrival” is not an option for Albanian or Bolivian citizens; the eVisa must be obtained before travel.
